I am devoted to the handmade and the human wherever possible and so it was a joy to be asked by The National Portrait Gallery and Appletons Wool to bring history’s Anne Boleyn to life through stitch and colour. Whether you see her as a heroine, a victim or a villain, hers is a riveting and fascinating story of cunning, patriarchy, struggle and ultimately downfall.
