Description
Most often stitched in a like-coloured thread, Pulled Thread techniques utilise the changes in texture caused by the stitches and the tension applied to catch the light and portray a lacy appearance. Originally used to produce a lace-like texture without losing any of the strength of the fabric by cutting threads. Included are comprehensive stitch diagrams for seven basic pulled thread stitches and construction instructions for the traditional folded hem.
