Jane Summer’s Work 1831 by Shakespeare’s Peddler

Description

This sampler has a definite summery feel to it, the flowers in the corners are fanciful and fun. This is not a strict reproduction, the flower sprigs in the border have been changed. Instead of being embroidered they have been re-created them in cross stitch. There is NO over-one in this piece—but there is a section of satin stitch below the house and just a few over-one stitches in the line with her name. Fabric is 40 count Morning Coffee by Xjudesigns. Threads are Classic Colorworks Barn Door, Tennessee Red Clay, Ye Olde Gold; Sampler Threads Antique Rose, Burlap (4), Flax, Oatmeal, Toasted Barley; Weeks Dye Works Deep Sea, Dirt Road, Oak (2), Pebble, Red Pear, and Red Rocks. A full DMC conversion is provided. Stitch count is 251 by 292
