A sampler of small pieces from the drawn thread techniques originating in countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Italy, France, Germany, and Norway. The Drawn Thread techniques range from the simple, drawn in one direction, to those drawn in two directions and cutwork.
Each motif can be stitched as part of the larger sampler, individually , or rearranged into a layout of your own design.
Techniques include: Myrezhka, Peahole, Hardanger, Deruta Sfilato, Schwalm, and more; 13 motifs in all.
Instructions include layout, tacking plan, stitch diagrams and full instructions regarding threads and stitch placement.
