Introducing techniques for edges and ends, basic stitches and building towards bigger things.

Drawn Thread Sampler – Part 1, Techniques covered include: Antique Hem Stitch and variations, Myrezhka, Peahole, Twists and Needle-weaving.

Techniques covered in Part 2 include: Needle-weaving, Myrezhka, and Filet.

Part 3 includes bands, corners and insertions as tasters of a wide variety of traditional drawn thread embroidery styles. Some of the techniques presented are: Cilaos, Richelieu, Ruskin and Punto Antico. Designed as a border for Drawn Thread Sampler – Parts 1 & 2

Each new band in this sampler extends the stitcher towards more complex examples of drawn thread styles. Comprehensive instructions and photographs for each motif are included.
