Description
Designer’s Note: This year’s Fragments in Time series was inspired by antique Susquehanna Valley Samplers. As I studied the originals with their compartmentalized borders, I knew they would make a perfect Fragments series. This body of antique samplers was created from the late 1700’s through the 1840’s, being produced from several schools located along the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania. I hope you enjoy my updated version of this piece of sampler history. As always there is a complimentary border pattern!! All eight Fragments will fit into the border pattern, to give these versatile charts another finishing option. The pdf pattern will be available on the designer’s website. Fabric: 32ct Straw linen by Weeks Dye Works (fat quarter). Thread: Weeks Dye Works- estimated amounts to stitch the whole series of 8 Fragments- Cadet (2 skeins needed), Carolina Cecil (2), Cinnabar (2), Moss (3), Lichen (2), Chestnut (3), Parchment (2). Stitch Count: 51 x 51 each (or 245 x 125 when stitched with border pattern).
